Phu Yen celebrates Independence Day

Cultural and sports exchanges were held at September 2 Park, Phu Yen town, Phu Yen district on September 2 to celebrate “Tet Doc lap” (Independence Day).

Nearly 100 artists and athletes from the three mountainous communes of Kim Bon, Suoi To and Suoi Bau played “khen” (panpipe) of the Mong ethnic group, competed in folk games such as dragon hatching eggs, walking on a bamboo bridge and “nem pao” (cloth ball throwing).

The athletes devoted attractive and dramatic competitions to people and tourists, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere. They also introduced to tourists the unique traditional culture of the Mong people, contributing to promoting tourism development in Phu Yen district.
