Son La high school students win 34 awards at national exam

The Ministry of Education and Training has announced the results of the National Excellent Student Exam for the 2024-2025 academic year, with 34 representatives from Son La obtaining awards.

The exam took place from December 25-26. Son La province sent 89 candidates from several schools to the contest, including Son La High School for the Gifted, the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, Nguyen Du Secondary and High School, Binh Minh Primary, Secondary, and High School, Moc Ly High School, Gia Phu High School, Chieng Son Secondary and High School, Mai Son High School, and Phu Yen High School.

Participants competed in nine subjects - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, and English. Son La students achieved 34 awards in total, including three second in Biology, Literature, and Geography; nine third in Biology, Literature, History, and Geography, 22 consolation prizes across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, and English.

Notably, 31 out of the 34 award-winning students were from Son La High School for the Gifted.

This year’s results mark a significant achievement for Son La, with 14 more awards than in 2023 and, for the first time, surpassing 30 awards—more than doubling the total in 2021.
