The People's Committee of Muong La district on March 9 inaugurated the cultural space for the La Ha ethnic community in Chieng Lao commune.

The provincial Youth Union on March 9 commenced the construction of a cultural house for the Khang ethnic community in Nam Gion commune, Muong La district.

Muong Trai commune, in collaboration with the Muong La district Division of Culture, Science, and Information, re-enacted the Nang Han (Miss Han) Festival on March 9. 

As part of the ongoing third "Cau Mua" (praying for bumper crops) Festival of the Dao ethnic group in Phieng Con commune, Bac Yen district, many special and exciting activities took place on March 8, attracting crowds.

As part of the "Border March" programme, the Youth Union of Hanoi’s Gia Lam district on March 7 presented gifts to its counterpart in Bac Yen district, Son La province, as well as local advantaged students.

Revenue from accommodation, dining, tourism, travel services, and other services in Son La province has so far this year reached nearly 1.673 trillion VND (65.6 million USD), up 5.89% from the same period last year.

The Son La provincial Association for Promoting Education on March 7 organised a ceremony to present To Hieu scholarship to students who won national high school exams for the 2024-2025 academic year and disadvantaged pupils who excel in learning from schools named after hero To Hieu.

Leaders of Son La province on March 5 offered incense in remembrance of revolutionist To Hieu on his 81st death anniversary (March 7, 1944 -2025) at the Son La Prison Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Son La Prison special national historical relic site.

In 2024, 28.4% of the provincial population regularly participated in physical activities. Notably, 23.4% of households met the criteria for "sports family" status.

In February, the system of credit institutions in Son La province remained stable, with the total cash inflow through bank funds estimated at 13 trillion VND (509.7 million USD), an increase of 23.95% compared to the same period last year.
