As part of the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026, Cat Que Production and Trading Company Limited held a ceremony on the morning of October 10 to inaugurate its regional headquarters and launch the Hoang Van Thu Industrial Cluster infrastructure development project.

A photo exhibition titled “Son La Coffee – A Journey Beyond Borders” is being held from October 10 to 13 at the Uncle Ho Fish Pond area in Tay Bac (Northwest) Square as part of the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong, and representatives of provincial departments and agencies on October 10 paid tribute at the Temple of King Le Thai Tong, the President Ho Chi Minh Temple and the Memorial House for Heroes and Martyrs at Son La Prison on the occasion of the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026.

More than 300 police officers and personnel from divisions under the provincial Department of Public Security and police units in To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng Sinh and Chieng An wards have been mobilised to maintain security and public order during the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026, which runs from October 9 to 13. The operation also involves 40 members of grassroots security forces from To Hieu and Chieng Coi wards.

From the 2026–2027 academic year, schools across Son La province have introduced artificial intelligence (AI) into mainstream teaching from primary to high shool education, with 12 lessons per year. The initiative aims to equip students with foundational knowledge and skills to use AI safely for learning and everyday life.

After four days, from September 28 to October 1, Week 2 of the online quiz on administrative reform in Son La province concluded, attracting 23,897 entries from officials, civil servants and public employees.

In 2026, Mai Son commune was allocated 89 billion VND (3.43 million USD) in public investment capital to implement seven ongoing projects and five newly launched projects. As of October 2, more than 56 billion VND had been disbursed, equivalent to over 63% of the annual plan. To ensure public investment disbursement stays on schedule, Mai Son is focusing on resolving site clearance bottlenecks, accelerating construction, and expediting project acceptance and completion of payment documentation in accordance with regulations.

Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and deputy head of the provincial Steering Committee for Preventing and Combating Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Practices, on October 6 chaired a conference to implement the Steering Committee’s decision to conduct oversight of the Standing Board of the Mai Son commune Party Committee. Hung also heads the supervision team established under Decision No. 05-QD/BCD issued on October 1, 2026 by the Steering Committee.
