Son La takes good care of public health

Last month, health facilities in Son La province offered medical examination, treatment, and emergency care effectively while focusing on improving the quality of services.

They also further materialised new regulations on medical check-up and treatment covered by health insurance. During the month, four hotspots of pink-eye disease (conjunctivitis) were detected in Son La city, and Muong La, Song Ma, and Mai Son districts, with 1,827 reported cases. As of now, the disease has been brought under control.

Additionally, dengue fever hit Song Ma and Mai Son districts, with 192 cases, of which163 have recovered. Localities have sprayed chemicals against mosquitoes, yet the outbreak is still ongoing.

Medical facilities provided medical check-ups and treatment for 114,210 patients, including over 16,800 inpatients and more than 65,590 outpatients. There were 7,716 patient referrals, with 356 referred to central hospitals, 1,377 to provincial hospitals, and 5,951 to district hospitals.
