Support provided for children on Tet occasion

The Son La provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with the Thuan Chau district Youth Union, the Chieng Ngam commune People's Committee, and Long Chau Pharmacy in Son La - Lai Chau area, on January 9 organised a programme to care for and support children on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025, at the Chieng Ngam Primary School in Chieng Ngam commune, Thuan Chau district.

At the event, the provincial Youth Union and Long Chau Pharmacy presented 500 gifts to students of the school, worth 180 million VND; while the provincial Youth Union granted 10 scholarships to 10 poor students with good learning performance, worth 500,000 VND each. Sponsors also donated 250 cartons of milk and candy, worth 65 million VND, to the school. In addition, the students participated in several experiential activities, such as painting statues, tug of war, sack jumping and wrapping banh chung (square sticky rice cake) – a traditional dish of the Vietnamese people on the Tet holiday.

Long Chau Pharmacy provides health check-ups for students.

This annual activity of the provincial Youth Union creates a joyful atmosphere for teenagers and children, encouraging them to overcome difficulties, achieve higher results in their study, and brings a warm and happy Tet to everyone.
