Voluntary social insurance, household health insurance promoted

The Vietnam Women's Union, in collaboration with the Vietnam Social Security, organized a conference in Son La city on November 27 to disseminate voluntary social insurance and household health insurance policies for 250 female staff and members from communes and wards across the city.

The event provided participants with information on the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws regarding voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.

Attendees were updated on recent changes to social insurance and health insurance policies; and the benefits, roles, and significance of these policies. They also learned about the rights and responsibilities of participants, as well as the procedures, contribution rates, payment methods, and the state's support for participants.

Moreover, attendees had the opportunity to directly interact with representatives from the provincial Social Security and related agencies to address their concerns and questions about the policies.

The conference aimed to help women’s union members better understand the objectives, significance, and importance of social insurance and health insurance policies, raising their awareness of participating in and benefiting from these policies, and then encouraging their families and communities to join voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.
