Son La city hosts nearly 8,000 visitors during five-day national holidays

Son La city welcomed nearly 8,000 tourists staying overnight during the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day holidays, from April 27 to May 1.

Tourists visit the Son La Prison special national relic site.

Especially, more than 8,100 people visited the Son La Prison special national relic site during this occasion.

Other attractions such as King Le Thai Tong Temple, Uncle Ho Temple at the Tay Bac (Northwest) Square, Son La Prison Martyrs Cemetery, Mong hamlet mineral spring tourist area in Hua La commune, and Rung Vang (Golden Forest) tourist site also attracted crowds of tourists.

Coming to Son La city, visitors had a chance to experience plum picking at the garden and enjoy ethnic culture and cuisine at community tourism destinations in Chieng An ward and Chieng Xom and Chieng Co communes.

To better serve tourists, Son La city directed homestays, restaurants, and hotels to ensure environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety, fire and explosion prevention and fighting; and increase competent forces to ensure security, traffic order and safety, creating a beautiful image in the hearts of tourists, thus promoting the development of local tourism.
