Stage 15 of "Steps for the community" programme takes place in Son La

The youth union of agencies and businesses in Son La province on March 9 organised Stage 15 of the "Steps for the community" programme.

The programme was launched by the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee in collaboration with private lender Sacombank in 2020 on a nationwide scale to call on the community to walk and run every day to promote the physical exercise movement and improve physical and mental health. Stage 15 will take place from February 25 to March 17, with no limit on the numbers of participants and distances.

Runners access the website sacombankrunnersclub.com or the Sacombank Runners application to walk and jog to contribute to the fund.

Responding to the programme, more than 100 runners who are youth union members and young people walked and jogged around the Northwest Square, Son La city. For every kilometer of walking or jogging, Sacombank will contribute 1,000 VND ($0.04) to build cultural houses for ethnic minorities.

This is a practical activity to implement the "10,000 steps a day" movement, encouraging youth union members, young people and residents to do exercise every day to improve health and promote young people's pioneering and volunteering spirit for the community. It is also to spread the kindness and raise funds to build community cultural houses for ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
