Flower garden, fish pond built in Son La city in commemoration of Uncle Ho

The People’s Committee of Son La city on October 10 inaugurated a flower garden and a fish pond in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh.

At the inauguration of the flower garden and fish pond.

The flower garden and the fish pond, located within the Tay Bac (Northwest) Square in Son La city, form part of a project aiming to give a facelift to urban areas along the city’s Dien Bien street. To pave way for the project, over 2,100 sq.m of 30 households along the street were zoned off. Accordingly, Dien Bien street and intersections of Roads 1A and 2A connected with National Highway 6 have been expanded, and three resettlement areas have been built, along with the flower garden and fish pond. The project’s total investment was over 158 billion VND (6.47 million USD).

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the flower garden and fish pond.

During the implementation of the project, the city has received the close attention and regular guidance from provincial authorities and the provincial steering committee for the development of Son La city’s urban areas.

With the strongest determination, the engagement of the entire political system, and the support of households within the project area, the project has been completed on schedule. The garden and fish pond have helped to ensure traffic safety and expand the space of the Tay Bac Square, creating a highlight for the city.
