Muong La organises Determined to Win Emulation Congress of armed forces

Muong La district on May 24 held  the Determined to Win Emulation Congress of its armed forces in the 2019-2024 period.

In the period, the determined to win emulation movement of Muong La district's armed forces has many innovations and creativity, closely linked with local patriotic emulation movements and campaigns. Since 2019, 20 regular emulation movements have been launched by the district armed forces. The quality of training, the building of regular forces, and discipline training have seen positive changes; and 25 drills for defence areas at the district and commune levels, drills for forest fire and flood and storm response, and search and rescue have been held, with all achieving good and excellent assessments. The rate of Party members in the militia and self-defense forces has reached 24.3%, an increase of 2.3% compared to that in 2018; while the figure in the standby force has hit 20%, up 1.3% from 2018.

In the past five years, 10 individuals were awarded the Determined to Win Military Flag Medal by the State President; 19 awarded the first, second, and third-class “Soldier of Glory” Medals; while the provincial Military Command gave the titles of Determined to Win Unit, Advanced Unit, and Grassroots Emulation Soldier to 36 collectives and individuals..

In the period 2024 - 2029, the district armed forces will continue to promote the determined to win emulation movement, with focus on improving the overall quality, level, combat readiness and combat power of the armed forces; strengthen the potential and strength of the all-people national defence and people's security posture, thus contributing to a strong, comprehensive and solid change in the situation of localities and units. They will encourage officers and soldiers to strive to make the district's armed forces “increasingly revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern”.
