Provincial Chairman attends Great National Unity Day in Muong Bu hamlet

Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, on November 8 attended the Great National Unity Day with the people in Muong Bu hamlet, Muong Bu commune, Muong La district.

At the event, the provincial leader, delegates and people of Muong Bu hamlet recalled the 93-year history of the Vietnamese National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023); looked into the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the current revolutionary cause and results of patriotic campaigns and emulation movements, and launched emulation movements in the hamlet in 2023.

Muong Bu hamlet has 150 households from two ethnic groups, Thai and Kinh. During the past year, the hamlet’s front work board has coordinated with mass organizations to actively encourage people to join patriotic campaigns and emulation movements for socio-economic development. So far this year, the hamlet has mobilized people to build 1,800m of electric lines; plant 800m of flowers along Provincial Road 116; build rural roads worth 200 million VND (8,200 USD); actively transform crop structure and eliminate poverty sustainably. The hamlet is home to 131 cultural families.

Speaking at the event, Khanh asked Muong Bu to continue to promote the strength of great national unity, actively participate in campaigns and emulation movements launched by authorities at all levels and sectors, and boost socio-economic development.

The hamlet should strive to fulfill new-style rural building targets, maintain security and order, and improve locals’ material and spiritual life, he said.
