Provincial leader joins Great National Unity Day in Song Ma district

Member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Nguyen Thai Hung attended the Great National Unity Day in residential area No. 3 in Song Ma township, Song Ma district on November 11.

The participants recalled the founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front (VNUF) (November 181930-2023), the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in the present revolutionary cause. They also reviewed the outcomes of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural and civilised urban areas" in residential area No.3 in 2023.

Residential area No. 3 counts 437 households with 1,697 people. Over the past years, local residents have carried forward the spirit of solidarity and actively joined emulation movements in learning, production and business. Its front board has maintained its coordination with with mass organisations to implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural and civilised urban areas," and encouraged households to donate land, money, workdays to the implementation of key projects in the locality.

Local residents have also supported the “Fund for the poor” and paid attention to urban environment protection, public health, ensuring traffic order and safety, and the fight against social evils. In 2023, up to 89.3% of local households have achieved the title of "cultural family". The area’s annual income per capita stands at 50 million VND (2,055 USD), with no poor households.

On this occasion, the VFF Committee of Son La province presented a certificate of merit to an individual in the residential area with outstanding performance in the front work. The Song Ma township People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 15 outstanding cultural households.
