Provincial leader visits Long Sap Border Guard Station ahead of Tet

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet on January 17 visited and presented gifts to Long Sap and Chieng Khua communes, as well as military units stationed there on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Representatives of the Long Sap Border Guard Station provided updates on border protection efforts. The unit has worked closely with local Party committees and authorities in safeguarding national sovereignty and border security while strengthening the all-people border defence posture. It has also enhanced engagement with the local community, supported economic development initiatives, participated in rural road construction, and providedassistance to policy beneficiary families and those in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the working session, Viet urged Long Sap commune and the border guard station to build on their achievements and continue fulfilling their assigned tasks. He urged them to implement solutions to spur socio-economic development and maintain political security and public order. The official also highlighted proper Tet preparations, particularly for impoverished households and social policy beneficiaries, and for officers and soldiers on duty during Tet, keeping them combat-ready. Additionally, Viet encouraged organising healthy, safe and cost-effective celebrations for the Lunar New Year.
