Provincial official attends Great National Unity Day in Mai Son district

On November 8, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Trang Thi Xuan attended the Great National Unity Day in Dam Hoa hamlet, Chieng Mai commune, Mai Son district, and a ceremony to recognise the hamlet as meeting new-style rural standards in 2023.

Dam Hoa hamlet was established in 2019 on the basis of merging three hamlets of Dam, Cay Ton and Hoa Son II. The hamlet has 118 households with 512 members. To date, all rural roads have been cemented and asphalted, and 100% of households have gained access to electricity and hygienic water. The average per capita income of locals reaches 44 million VND (1,800 USD) per year. There are only three poor households in the hamlet. Up to 106 out of 118 households in Dam Hoa have achieved the title of "cultural family", and Dam Hoa has also been recognised as a "cultural hamlet".

Vice Chairwoman Trang Thi Xuan presents gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to Dam Hoa hamlet.

Speaking at the event, Xuan requested Dam Hoa to continue promoting the achieved results, encouraging officials and locals to well implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the locality’s regulations and conventions; upholding the responsibility and raising awareness of the entire political system about building new-style rural areas, and considering this a key, regular and long-term political task, so as to strive to become a model new-style rural hamlet.
