Provincial Party leader inspects preparations for first Son La Coffee Festival 2023

Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, on October 17 inspected a number of locations hosting the first Son La Coffee Festival 2023 in Son La city and Mai Son district.

The provincial Party leader inspected the preparation of conditions to welcome the government delegations to the coffee growing area in Hoang Van Thu hamlet, Hua La commune, Son La city, which is also the expected location for the fruit picking contest as part of the Competition for Excellent Farmers.

The delegation inspected the preparation for the inauguration of the coffee processing factory of the Son La Coffee Processing Joint Stock Company in Muong Bon commune, Mai Son district. The factory has a total annual capacity of 50,000 tons of fresh coffee cherries (equivalent to 12,500 tons of green coffee per year).

Covering an area of 40,178sq.m, it includes a control house; a processing factory; a finished product warehouse; an operation center; a wastewater treatment tank system; drying yards and other auxiliary works.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Dong inspects the preparation for the inauguration of the coffee processing factory.

Dong requested the Son La Coffee Festival Organizing Committee to direct members to coordinate with localities to well perform assigned tasks, continue to review and well implement the organization plan, making the festival a success. The Son La Coffee Processing Joint Stock Company must develop a detailed programme for the inauguration ceremony, he added.
