During the second quarter, the working group advised the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board to issue a project on the development of Son La provincial Political School, aiming to maintain its Level-1 accreditation and achieve Level-2 standards during the 2026–2030 period.
Its standing agency conducted a comprehensive review of the school's current status against the accreditation criteria following its recognition as a Level-1 standard political school. The review identified several areas requiring improvement to meet Level-2 standards, particularly the proportion of lecturers holding doctoral degrees, the number of senior lecturers, provincial-level scientific research projects, and information technology infrastructure.
The school has continued to maintain and improve the quality of its Level-1 accreditation criteria. It has also continued to send staff members to pursue doctoral studies, advanced political theory training, and professional development programmes. In addition, training and capacity-building activities have been innovated through a differentiated approach tailored to specific target groups.
During the second quarter, the school organised two institutional-level seminars and hosted the Scientific Conference of the Northwestern Cluster of Political Schools. It also prepared the necessary conditions for organising a ministerial-level scientific conference in 2026.
In coordination with relevant agencies and organisations, the school participated in developing and compiling training modules for commune-level officials and civil servants as part of the 2026 training materials. Meanwhile, efforts to improve facilities have continued according to schedule, ensuring favourable conditions for teaching, learning, and student accommodation.
Addressing the event, Hung requested the working group’s standing agency to fully incorporate all comments and promptly finalise the implementation plan for the project on the development of Son La provincial Political School. The plan should specify each task, clearly identify the lead and coordinating agencies, define implementation timelines, and set expected outcomes for every target. The finalised plan is to be submitted to the provincial Party Committee’s Standing for approval in July.
Members of the working group were also instructed to closely follow their assigned responsibilities, regularly monitor implementation progress, promptly address emerging difficulties, and work with determination to achieve the project's objectives, with the goal of enabling Son La provincial Political School to attain Level-2 accreditation by 2030.
