The 16.6km road project has a total investment of 107.3 billion VND (4.57 million USD), while electricity and water works, irrigation systems, internal roads, and classrooms have been built synchronously, with a total cost of over 15 billion VND (639,250 USD). When moving to the resettlement site, each household is provided with 300sq.m of residential land and 1.8ha of arable land. They also receive food support in cash, equivalent to 30kg of rice per person per month for 36 months.

Households are also supported in building agricultural production models, trained and transferred production technology and techniques. Each of them receives one-time support worth 11 million VND (468 USD) to buy seedlings. Particularly, poor households are entitled to a maximum loan of 5 million VND (213 USD) each with interest rate support for 2 years to develop production. Up to now, 46 out of 90 households have moved to live in the resettlement sites.

During the field trip, Cong appreciated Phu Yen district's strong efforts in immigration work and asked relevant units to urgently complete procedures for settlement of completed works and items.

The district should promote communication campaigns to persuade households to move to the resettlement sites while strengthening coordination with provincial departments and agencies to promptly solve problems arising in the implementation process so that people can feel secure in their lives, he said.
