Quynh Nhai focuses on fulfilling new-style rural area criteria

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Lo Minh Hung on September 25 chaired a meeting of Steering Committee 396 on building Quynh Nhai into a new-style rural district by 2025.

The meeting also aimed to evaluate the district’s performance of tasks in the third quarter and launch key tasks for the fourth quarter.

The Steering Committee 396’s meeting discusses building Quynh Nhai into a new-style rural district by 2025.

Since the beginning of this year, Quynh Nhai district has actively coordinated with relevant agencies to remove difficulties and obstacles in fulfilling targets and criteria in new-style rural construction. It has mobilised investment resources for rural infrastructure development; restructured the agricultural sector towards enhancing value and sustainable development; and managed the quality of agro-forestry-fishery products, thus giving the facelift to the countryside and improving farmers’ living conditions.

As a result, eight communes achieved 7-11 criteria for a new-style rural commune in the 2021-2025 period and three communes met 11-12 advanced criteria. Regarding the construction of new-style rural district, Quynh Nhai fulfilled three out of nine criteria.

Hung requested the members of the Steering Committee to excellently complete their tasks. He assigned the Quynh Nhai district Party Committee to focus on leading and directing the building of Chieng Bang, Chieng Khoang and Muong Giang into advanced new-style rural communes; accelerate the making of plans and state budget estimates to implement the National Target Programmes in the district in 2024.

The district must effectively implement programmes and projects; pay attention to production development, job creation, and stable and sustainable livelihoods for people; while improving the quality of emulation movements to build new-style rural areas in the district.
