Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, deputy head of the Steering Committee and head of the provincial assistant team for site clearance Dang Ngoc Hau on September 13 had a working session with authorities of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts on site clearance for the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway project.

At the working session, the People's Committees of Moc Chau and Van Ho districts reported on the results of site clearance for the project.

The expressway section in Son La province is 31.2 km long, including 30 km through Chieng Yen, Muong Men and Chieng Khoa communes of Van Ho district; and 1.2 km in Phieng Luong commune of Moc Chau district.

The two districts have been coordinating with the consulting unit to make maps featuring the positions of stakes and preliminary counting affected households and organizations and their assets.

At the function, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Hau requested the People's Committees of the two districts as well as departments and agencies of the province to focus on counting the exact number of affected households and land plots that must be recovered, in order to implement compensation. They need to urge the consulting unit to hand over the remaining stakes and markers to each commune and village for joint management and protection.

“It is necessary to complete the site clearance process from dissemination to land recovery and the planning of the project's resettlement sites, based on public consensus, ensuring that the new places of residence are equal to as or better than the old ones,” he stressed.

The two districts should promote popularization of the meaning and purpose of the project so that people join hands in completing the project as soon as possible, he added.
