Son La province’s Arabica coffee served at 15th National Assembly’s 6th session

Son La province has been allowed by the National Assembly (NA) Office to offer and introduce its Arabica coffee at the sixth session of the 15th National Assembly, which is taking place from October 23 to November 29.

Son La is home to the largest Arabica coffee growing area in the country, with over 20,000 hectares, of which more than 18,000 hectares are certified as sustainable or equivalent. A number of specialised production areas have been formed under production, processing and consumption chains based on the application of science and technology, gradually meeting the needs of production, consumption and export.

Son La’s coffee products have been exported to 20 markets in the EU, North America, the Middle East and ASEAN countries, with stable prices, contributing to raising the income of coffee growers, creating more jobs, as well as restructuring production towards increasing coffee value in Son La, satisfying the taste of both domestic and foreign consumers.

Following the success of the festival, local leaders, officials and residents, with the desire to further promote Son La’s Arabica coffee, asked for the permission to introduce the drink at the legislature’s ongoing meeting.

The province has prepared typical, high-quality, well-packed coffee products for the event. This is an opportunity for the locality to introduce its Arabica coffee to Party and State leaders, lawmakers and guests, thus contributing to raising the value and affirming the position of Son La coffee, and opening up new opportunities for it to reach domestic, regional and world markets.
