The conference was connected to the People's Committees of districts and Son La city; communes, wards and townships in the province.
After two years of implementing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated August 31, 2021 of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, digital transformation work in the province has been carried out synchronously by authorities at all levels and sectors, focusing on tasks and solutions to improve the quality of serving people and businesses, contributing to modernizing the administrative system and promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
Currently, all communes have fiber optic broadband infrastructure, gaining access to 4G mobile networks. The proportion of hamlets covered by 4G mobile broadband reaches 98.50%, and the rate of the population covered by 4G hits 94.86%. The proportion of subscribers using mobile services on smartphones is about 59.64%. The rate of Internet users in the province is estimated at 46.34%. All state management agencies and individuals with authority to sign documents from provincial to commune levels have been granted digital certificates. The rate of online public services generating soft documents per total number of online public services in the province generating both soft and hard documents reaches 88.51%.
At the conference, a website on digital transformation in Son La province was launched, at chuyendoiso.sonla.gov.vn, providing information on digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities as well as information on digital transformation documents of the central and provincial governments; posting images, videos, clips, infografics, documents, instructions on applications, digital platforms, digital transformation solutions, application of artificial intelligence technology to implementing digital transformation programmes.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee presented the certificates of merit to one collective and six individuals who won the first prize in the 2023 provincial digital transformation quiz. The organizing committee awarded certificates to eight collectives and 22 individuals winning the competition.
