Son La's booth at 20th China-ASEAN Expo wins most impressive award

Son La province was honoured to represent Vietnam to participate in the “City of Charm” exhibition area at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023) and its booth won the most impressive national pavilion award.

CAEXPO 2023, held in Nanning city, China’s Guangxi province on September 16-19, attracted the participation of 1,953 enterprises from 46 countries showcasing their products at 5,400 booths on a total area of 102,000sq.m. There were 644 ASEAN businesses participating in the expo, making up 37.8% of the total. Vietnam continued to have the largest exhibition scale and number of participating exhibitors among ASEAN countries.

According to statistics from the organisers, the total number of visitors to the fair was estimated at 150,000. It also welcomed 104 official business delegations from 18 countries and territories, including 55 international ones. More than 70 trade sessions and trade promotion activities were organised, during which 30 businesses signed contracts.

Son La province was honoured to be selected as Vietnam's national pavilion at the expo, with the theme “Son La - Clean Agricultural Product Centre”. The 184-sq.m pavilion focused on promoting the characteristics and products of Son La province in particular and the potential for economic, cultural and tourism development in Vietnam’s northwestern region in general.

CAEXPO 2023 was an opportunity to transmit a message that Son La is not only a beautiful land, with many scenic spots and rich cultural identity, but also has potential and strengths to develop into a clean farm produce hub of Vietnam, ready to cooperate with and become a supplier of high quality products to China, ASEAN and more broadly all countries around the world./.
