Thuan Chau district’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee holds 21st congress

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan Chau district on June 24-25 organised its 21st Congress for the 2024-2029 term. Attending the event were leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, standing members of the district Party Committee and 155 official delegates.

In the past term, the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front committees from district to grassroots levels went into depth, promoting the role of uniting, gathering, and encouraging people to implement the Party's guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and local regulations. Supervision and social criticism were implemented in line with regulations.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front committees at all levels and socio-political organisations in the district persuaded members, union members and people to repair more than 110 km of rural roads; dredge 58 km of inner-field ditches; donate over 52,300sq.m of land to build roads and cultural houses, and 741,110 workdays.

They received over 11 billion VND (432,000 USD) to support the construction of "Great Solidarity" houses; presented nearly 3,000 gifts to poor households and disadvantaged students with excellent academic performance.

Leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Thuan Chau district Party Committee present flowers to congratulate the members of the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 21st tenure.

 A leader of the district People's Committee awards certificates of merit to outstanding collectives. Delegates vote to approve the Congress’s Resolution.

With the theme "Solidarity - democracy - innovation - development", for the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan Chau district strives for all Vietnam Fatherland Front committees at all levels to coordinate with member organisations to encourage members, union members and people to well implement the Party's guidelines, and the State's policies and laws. Over 90% of agencies, organisations and units are expected to make donations to the "Fund for the Poor".
