Vietnam Buddhist Sangha supports people in Son La’s disaster-hit areas

The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on August 26 received cash and gifts from the Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Central Committee in support of people in disaster-hit areas in Son La province.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha assists people in disaster-hit areas of Son La province.

Due to the impact of storm Prapiroon, many localities in the province experienced heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides, causing losses in human lives and property, with total losses of over 500 billion VND (20.1 million USD).

The VBS delegation donated 1,000 gifts to people affected by natural disasters, with a total value of 1.2 billion VND; and provided 900 million VND to build 15 charity houses, and 65 million VND to the Chieng Chan Secondary School in Mai Son district.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha donates 1,000 gifts to support people in disaster-hit areas.

Receiving the donation, the leader of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee thanked the the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha for its sentiments and sharing, and promised to soon transfer the money to people in need to help them soon stabilise their lives.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha donates money to build 15 houses for affected people.
