Ksaisatip ritual in Phieng Pan commune researched, documented

During March 25 and 26, in Ta Vat hamlet, the provincial Museum coordinated with Mai Son district’s Phieng Pan commune in surveying, researching, and documenting the Ksaisatip ritual of the Xinh Mun ethnic group.

The Ksaisatip ritual is held annually by Xinh Mun ethnic people, with ceremonies and festive activities interwoven, aiming to pray for good health and bumper harvests. This is a unique and humane cultural activity of the Xinh Mun ethnic group, contributing to increasing community solidarity and encouraging people to actively engage in production activities for a prosperous and happy life.

The Provincial Museum’s staff have surveyed, researched, and collected objects made from bamboo that simulate production tools of the ethnic group; filmed and took photos to document activities at the festival. They also interviewed folk artisans about preserving and practicing heritage as well as measures to encourage the creation of good traditional cultural values, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional identities of ethnic minorities in the province.
