Activities celebrate Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s founding anniversary

On the occasion of the 93rd founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - 2024), the provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation have coordinated with the Department of Health, the provincial General Hospital and Tay Bac University in organising a blood donation festival at the university.

At the event, nearly 1,000 officials, civil servants, public employees, and teachers, members of armed forces, union members, and young people donated 300 units of blood, contributing to easing the shortage of blood for patient treatment and emergency care. The provincial Youth Union honoured one collective and six individuals with outstanding achievements in campaigning for voluntary blood donation in 2024.

The youth union of the provincial agencies and businesses organised the Reunion Day 2024. In the 2023-2024 school year, high schools have held many youth union activities and diverse youth movements, attracting the engagement of many youth union members and young people.

At the events, 93 outstanding young people from the Son La High School for the Gifted, the Ethnic Boarding High School and the Continuing Education Center were admitted to the Youth Union.

On this occasion, rapporteurs from the youth unions of the provincial Department of Justice and the provincial Museum delivered presentations on two topics: Drug prevention and fightin schools; a "Spirit of To Hieu" education movement that helps youth union members and young people learn about the life and career of revolutionary and martyr To Hieu on the occasion of his 112th birthday (1912-2024) and 80th death anniversary (1944-2024).

The youth theoretical club of the youth union of the provincial agencies and businesses held its regular activity in the first quarter of 2024, with the theme "Proudly marching forward under the Party flag". The event was attended by 40 members from the youth unions of the Son La Power Company, the provincial Radio and Television Station, the provincial School of Politics and the youth unions of advisory agencies to the provincial Party Committee. The youth union members learned about the life and career of revolutionary and martyr To Hieu on the occasion of his 112th birthday (1912-2024) and 80th death anniversary (1944-2024); the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with Party building work.

Athletes participate in sack jumping

The youth union of the provincial agencies and businesses also organised a sports festival for youth union officials. Attending the event were 250 youth union officials from agencies, units, and enterprises in the province, competing in such events as sack jumping, tug of war, and relay racing.
