Drug prevention and control in schools strengthened

The provincial Department of Education and Training on August 1 organized a training conference on drug prevention and control in schools for over 300 officials in charge of drug prevention, club leaders, youth union secretaries and presidents of the trade unions of local schools.

Participants were given information about harmful effects of drugs; tricks of drug traffickers; drug prevention skills in schools; skills to handle situations when teachers and students violate drug laws; and the fight against drug abuse in schools.

The conference aimed to equip knowledge and skills in dissemination of drug crime prevention for staff in charge of school drug prevention, contributing to maintaining a safe, healthy and drug-free pedagogical environment.
