Mai Son strives to generate jobs for 3,257 labourers

Mai Son district is working to create jobs for 3,257 labourers this year, of them 2,347 under the national target programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas.

Businesses give job consultations for youth union members in Mai Son district.

The locality will also facilitate the access to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) loans by 650 people, send 10 workers abroad, and provide 250 labourers for industrial parks outside Son La province.

More attention will be paid to expanding startup models by young people, encouraging them to engage in poverty reduction and work overseas, and organising programmes to provide vocational consultations for rural youths.

Mai Son will coordinate with the provincial employment service centre, enterprises and the  People's Committees of communes and towns in career counseling and providing updates on the Government policies on labour export for rural young people.
