Accompanying the programme were the trade union of the Customs Magazine Representative Office, Ho Chi Minh City’s Social Insurance Agency, Thien Y pharmacy-diaper shop system, and the Son La 26 Drivers’ Association.
Huoi Tinh hamlet is 15km from the centre of Bo Sinh commune, making transportation difficult. The facility has 41 students aged between 2 and 5, 100% of whom belong to the Mong, Khang, and Thai ethnic minority groups. It has one solidly built classroom, however, teaching and learning conditions remain limited due to the lack of playground, teaching equipment, and tools.
Sharing the difficulties with the facility, the trade union of the Customs Magazine Representative Office donated 41 gifts including warm coats and backpacks, while Ho Chi Minh City’s Social Insurance Agency gave milk for three months, Thien Y pharmacy-diaper milk shop system presented milk for one month and Mid-Autumn toys, and the drivers’ association helped carry the gifts to the facility. The programme has a total cost of over 30 million VND (1,230 USD).
In addition, the youth union of Son La Newspaper also presented 4 million VND in cash to Ca Thi Duyen in Huoi Tinh hamlet, who lives with a congenital disability and in difficult circumstance. The fund was donated by officials and youth union members of Son La Newspaper./.
