Mobile Police Command presents gifts to residents in Muong Chanh, Chieng Noi communes

A working delegation of the Mobile Police Command on August 21 visited and presented gifts to residents in Muong Chanh and Chieng Noi communes, Mai Son district, helping them overcome flood consequences.

Storm Prapiroon, the second hitting Vietnam this year, triggered flooding, flash floods, and landslides in Son La province. In Mai Son district, floods killed six and injured one; destroyed 469 houses, swept away10 bridges, and eroded many roads, causing traffic disruptions. Over 810 hectares of agricultural land were flooded. The total damage is estimated at over 118 billion VND (4.73 million USD).

The working delegation of the Mobile Police Command presents gifts to residents whose houses were swept away by floods.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 gift packages to residents of Chieng Noi commune and 200 others to those in Muong Chanh commune. These gifts, including cash, rice, and essential supplies, had a total value of over 200 million VND. 

Additionally, nearly 300 members of the mobile police were deployed to help relocate households from landslide-prone areas to safer locations and assist residents of Na Ca hamlet, Muong Chanh commune in building a new bridge, helping the locals quickly stabilise their lives and resume production.
