It has instructed infrastructure construction in line with fourth-tier urban standards, such as the investment project for the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway’s section in Son La province.  The project on the relocation of the 110kV line from Moc Chau to Mai Chau (Hoa Binh) is also being drafted.

To date, the five projects decided by the provincial People's Committee have been completed, and nine others related to Moc Chau urban infrastructure development are underway. Besides, four projects decided by the district People's Committee have been done, and six others are being rolled out, contributing to meeting the targets and criteria for a fourth-tier urban area.

At the same time, the locality has facilitated the study and project building and implementation of potential investors, and maintained information exchanges with them.
