Phu Yen has 23 communes meeting national criteria on health care

With funds from the national target programme for new-style rural construction, Phu Yen district has invested in building facilities and equipment for commune health stations and created conditions for medical staff to participate in training courses to improve professional qualifications.

The district now has 23 out of 27 communes and town meeting national criteria on health care; reached a rate of 7.3 doctors per 10,000 people and 21 hospital beds per 10,000 people. About 96% of children have been fully vaccinated and 97% of the population have participated in health insurance.

Phu Yen continues to review and supplement facilities and equipment for medical examination and treatment at commune health stations, meeting the task of protecting and taking care of public health.
