Son La College celebrates Vietnamese Teachers' Day

Son La College held a meeting on November 20 to celebrate the International Charter of Teachers Day the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - 2023).

The meeting celebrates the International Charter of Teachers Day.

Son La College was formerly known as the Ethnic Primary Teachers Training School of Son La province, separating from the Teachers Training School of the Northwest Region. After 60 years of construction and development, generations of leaders, lecturers and staff of the college have always strived to successfully complete assigned tasks.

The school has so far trained nearly 30,000 preschool and primary teachers; more than 5,000 secondary teachers; and over 10,000 college and intermediate school graduates in many fields. It has taught Vietnamese language and provided specialized training for more than 3,200 students, officials and employees from nine northern provinces of Laos.

The school has been awarded many orders, medals, and certificates of merit by the Lao Party and State, and the People's Committee, and socio-political organizations of Laos.

The college has determined the roles and responsibilities of teachers in innovating and improving the quality of vocational education, creating breakthroughs in development and provision of human resources to meet the province’s socio-economic development strategies in the near future.
