At the meeting reviewing the performance of the Chieng Son commune Party Committee’s Standing Board and its members on November 29.
The commune Party Committee’s Standing Board reported on the collective self-assessment, reviewing leadership and direction in carrying out political tasks since July 1.
As of November 25, the commune Party Committee’s Standing Board led the locality to achieve all the 30 targeted socio-economic, national defence, and security targets. Budget disbursement and management were carried out transparently, ensuring resources were effectively allocated to support development objectives.

Currently, the commune has seven out of 24 hamlets and sub-areas meeting new rural standards. Social welfare and the material and spiritual well-being of residents are being addressed promptly. Administrative reform and digital transformation efforts have been accelerated, while political security and public order are maintained.
The commune Party organisation has quickly completed organidational restructuring and established five new grassroots Party cells. Party membership development has been given priority.
The review process adhered closely to required guidelines, was conducted seriously, and reflected the democratic, candid, united, open-minded, and responsible spirit of the commune Party Committee’s Standing Board members.

In his remarks, Viet called on the commune Party Committee’s Standing Board to complete the review of performance of all collectives and individuals under its authority, finalise the collective’s self-assessment report, and fully consider all feedback. He emphasised the need to develop plans to address identified shortcomings, with concrete and effective solutions for implementation.
The commune Party Committee was urged to swiftly prepare its 2026 work programme and direct relevant sectors and agencies to develop their own plans to carry out assigned tasks.
He said attention should be given to training and developing staff, particularly officials in advisory and specialised units, to meet new-stage requirements.
In leadership and direction, Party principles, especially democratic centralism, should be upheld, leveraging internal capacity and responsibility of agencies, units, and Party members to successfully achieve political objectives and implement resolutions of the Party Congress.
