Provincial chairman inspects building of Moc Chau district into township

Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments, agencies and Moc Chau district on March 18 inspected the implementation of criteria for building Moc Chau district into a township and the development of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.

In 2023, Moc Chau district completed planning schemes for two urban sub-areas namely Moc Chau town center and Moc Chau Farm town center. Of the 24 key investment projects decided by the provincial People's Committee and the district People's Committee, six have been completed while the remaining projects are under construction. The completion of tier-4 urban criteria for Moc Chau has achieved 82.93 points, with all the five criteria met. For the Moc Chau National Tourist Area to be recognised by 2025, 19 out of 20 criteria have been satisfied.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of a number of frame infrastructure resettlement area projects in Moc Chau district, including a project to build the Moc Chau main urban axis. He requested departments and agencies to coordinate closely with Moc Chau district to focus on well fulfill goals and tasks; regularly report progress and identify problems and difficulties in meeting criteria, especially in planning, investment, and implementation of key projects, striving to build Moc Chau district into a township and making the Moc Chau National Tourist Area recognised under the set roadmap.
