Provincial leaders offer incense in commemoration of King Le Thai Tong, Uncle Ho, martyrs

On February 6, or the 27th day of the last lunar month, Son La province’s leaders offered incense at King Le Thai Tong’s Temple, Uncle Ho’s Temple; and the Memorial House to Martyrs at the Son La Prison and paid tribute to martyrs at their cemetery at the Son La Prison.

The leaders included Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, and other senior officials.

The provincial leaders respectfully offered incense to commemorate and express gratitude to King Le Thai Tong for his contributions to the nation building and safeguarding; and vowed to continue promoting good traditions, and making the homeland and the country increasingly rich, beautiful and civilised.

They then offered flowers at the "Uncle Ho with northwestern ethnic groups” monument, and offered incense at Uncle Ho's Temple, expressing their respect and infinite gratitude for his great contributions to the struggle for liberation of the Vietnamese people and human beings.

The Party Organisation, authorities and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province pledged to maintain and promote revolutionary traditions; forever follow the revolutionary path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh and continue studying and following the late leader’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle; uphold political determination, overcome difficulties and challenges, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Visiting the Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Memorial House to Martyrs at the Son La Prison, the provincial leaders offered flowers and incense in commemoration of the great contributions of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the struggle for national independence and reunification.
