Provincial police leader joins great national solidarity festival in Sop Cop district

Major General Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of the provincial Department of Public Security, on November 16 attended the great national solidarity festival in Pu Hao hamlet, Muong Lan commune, Sop Cop district.

The border hamlet of Pu Hao is home to 140 households, with 870 people, all Mong ethnic minorities. Over the past years, local residents have always followed the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, as well as local regulations.

They have stayed united in economic development and applied technical advances to production.

The village counts over 80% of households recognised as a “cultural family”, and 95% of the local population have gained access to television and radio channels.

There are three self-managed inter-family groups and one community security group. Political security, and social order and safety in the area have been maintained.

On this occasion, Van presented gifts from the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to Pu Hao hamlet. Sop Cop district also gave gifts to the hamlet while the Department of Public Security granted 20 gifts to local disadvantaged families.
