Son La assigned to host construction of Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway’s local section

The Prime Minister on March 2 issued a decision assigning Son La province to take prime responsibility for a project to build the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway’s section running through the province.

The Son La section has been identified by the province as a key project, creating a breakthrough in promoting the socio-economic development of Son La and the Northwest region. The 32.3-km section starts at Km 53 in Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district and ends at Km 85+300 intersecting with National Highway 43 in Phieng Luong commune, Moc Chau district. In the first phase, the section will have two lanes, with a total investment of about 4.94 trillion VND (200.1 million USD) sourced from the State budget. This phase will be implemented from 2023 to 2028.

Being the host locality will create favourable conditions for the province to implement the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau Expressway’s Son La section project.
