Son La promotes comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam Airlines Corporation

The provincial People's Committee on March 16 signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines Corporation for the 2024-2028 period.

At the signing ceremony of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the Son La provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Airlines Corporation for the 2024-2028 period.

Attending the event were Nguyen Huu Dong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies; Nguyen Long Hai, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc; Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines Corporation; Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and leaders of Yen Chau and Moc Chau districts.

In the past two years, Vietnam Airlines has paid special attention and supported Son La in selling safe agricultural products by serving local longan and plum on its flights and at its lounges, contributing to enhancing the brand and value of the province’s agricultural products.

Promoting the results of cooperation in the past time and shaping comprehensive cooperation activities for the 2024-2028 period and the following years, Son La provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Airlines Corporation agreed to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Under the deal, Vietnam Airlines will focus on supporting Son La province to transport and export agricultural products to countries around the world; and continue to introduce agricultural products such as plum, strawberry and longan on flights. It will pay attention to investing in building Na San airport into a dual-use airport in the near future while introducing Son La's tourist attractions at airports and Vietnam Airlines flights.
