Job opportunities introduced to ethnic minority youth

The Son La provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Thuan Chau district People's Committee in organizing a job fair in the district on October 28 to introduce job opportunities to ethnic minority youth.

Attending the fair were representatives of 11 businesses, employers and training institutions inside and outside the province; and more than 1,000 ethnic minority young people in Thuan Chau district.

Tay Bac University provides career counseling for students in Thuan Chau district.

Participating units and businesses set up 11 booths to introduce recruitment needs, vacancies, and policies towards employees; exchanged with workers and signed labour contracts directly with qualified people. At the same time, they provided training on interview and job application skills, and discussed the application of digital technology in career consulting and orientation, and job introduction for ethnic minority youth.

Universities and colleges offered career consultations and orientations for students and workers in line with their own abilities and current employment needs.

Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd. offers job advice to young people.

This was an opportunity for ethnic minority youth to access labour market information and employment support services, contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for workers as well as meeting the requirements of socio-economic development. At the same time, it helped create a favourable environment for businesses and employers to select suitable human resources.

On this occasion, the provincial Youth Union, the Binh Yen pharmacy system in Son La city and the Tin Phat Technology and Trading Joint Stock Company donated 20 gifts and scholarships to students in Thuan Chau district. The Son La representative office of EI Education and Investment Group presented 100 "German Dream" scholarships worth 1.2 billion VND (48,820 USD) to the Thuan Chau district Youth Union.
