The district Division of Education and Training has directed schools to ensure facilities for boarding meals; and coordinated with the district Health Center to organize training on regulations and procedures to ensure food hygiene and safety.

It has established teams to inspect production, processing, and food supply facilities for boarding kitchens in schools in the locality; strictly controlled the origin of food and the stages of food processing, preservation and transportation.

The district has focused on clean water and environmental sanitation in schools, while encouraging students to keep personal hygiene, and ensuring drinking water for students.
