In 2023, the district has reviewed and classified over 1,200 poor households to have appropriate support measures. The district Party Committee's Standing Board has directed Party cells, Party committees, agencies, units, and officials and Party members to assist poor villages and households. Party members have gradually approached and helped poor households, both materially and spiritually, contributing to reducing the poverty rate to 3.68%.

At the programme, hundreds of organizations and individuals donated over 6 billion VND (244,450 USD) to eliminate temporary houses, build rural roads, install lighting systems, build frontier classrooms and sponsor 50 disadvantaged students.

In the coming time, the district will invest 27.4 billion VND in building rural roads with the goal of cementing all roads to border villages. Of the sum, 13.7 billion VND will come from the state budget and over 13.6 billion VND from social sources.

At the same time, it will build electricity systems to illuminate rural areas; eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; encourage children to go to school; help poor households and people in disadvantaged areas to achieve sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
