Training course improves digital transformation capacity for cooperatives, ethnic minorities

The Institute for Cooperative Economy Development and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance organised a training conference in Son La province on October 5 to improve digital transformation capacity for officials, managers and members of cooperatives, as well as ethnic minorities and residents in mountainous areas in the province.

Nearly 200 participants discussed a number of current digital transformation issues and assessed the current digital technology application in product development under product value chains in localities and implementation methods; cooperatives’ application of digital technology in promoting and selling products in Son La province; and experience of some cooperatives in selling products on digital technology platforms.

The conference was organised under the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period, to improve skills in creating and editing information and digital content, and communication methods to promote cooperatives’ images and products.

It trained participants in using digital technology in product development under value chains; and raised awareness of cooperative members on issues related to information technology and application of information technology and the internet in life and production.
