Bac Yen district launches 2024 Olympic Running Day for Public Health

The People’s Committee of Bac Yen district on March 16 launched the campaign “All people take exercises following the example of great Uncle Ho” and the 2024 Olympic Running Day for Public Health.

The 2024 Olympic Running Day for Public Health launched in Bac Yen district.

The launching ceremony was set to celebrate major events in the year, towards the 60th founding anniversary of the district Party Organisation (September 29-1964-2024) and the establishment of the locality (October 20, 1964-2020).

It was also to encourage officials, soldiers, people from all walks of life, youths and students in the district to respond to the campaign “All people take exercises following the example of great Uncle Ho”, and make Olympic Running Day an annual event, thus gradually improving public health and forming a healthy cultural lifestyle, meeting the requirements of national construction and defence in the new situation.

Right after the ceremony, delegates and nearly 1,000 athletes from agencies, units and schools across the district ran nearly 2km around the ring road of Bac Yen town in response to the 2024 Olympic Running Day for Public Health./.
