 An overview of the ceremony.

Initiated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Learning Promotion, the movement is to encourage students to follow Uncle Ho's teachings to study harder and overcome difficulties in order to gain excellent academic achievements.

For adults, the movement encourages them to materialise what they have learned and set bright examples of lifelong learning among the community.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion Nguyen Thi Doan speaks at the event.

Over the past years, Son La has worked to promote Uncle Ho's teaching that "Learning never ends" among the public, while focusing on developing learning promotion funds at all levels, and mobilising the support from different economic sectors to education and training.

Currently, it counts 88.2% of families recognised as “learning family”; 78.5% of learning communities, 92.8% of learning units, 73.2% of learning clans; and 61.3% of learning citizens.

In 2022 and 2023, the province presented "Learning never ends" scholarships to nearly 400 outstanding adults and students.

She highlighted comprehensive innovation in terms of textbook, teaching methods, and digital transformation in teaching, saying Son La should strive to preserve the Global Learning City title.

For the outstanding individuals honoured, Doan said, they need to make more contributions to local development.
