Activities towards ceremony to recognise Moc Chau National Tourist Area

The Information and Ceremonial Subcommittee for organising activities to promote tourism and announce the decision recognising the Moc Chau National Tourist Area held a meeting to launch tasks on May 7.

On April 22, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed Decision No. 1077/QD-BVHTTDL on recognising the Moc Chau National Tourist Area in Son La province. Preparing for the announcement ceremony, the provincial People's Committee issued a plan to organise activities to promote tourism and announce this decision. It also issued a decision to establish an Organizing Committee for the event and its subcommittees.

The meeting assigned tasks to members of the subcommittee; discussed and agreed on relevant contents, with a view to well performing the assigned tasks: disseminating information before, during and after the event; developing scripts and reportages on the construction and development of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area; introducing tourism products, tourism potential and strengths; an art programme; and mobilising forces to serve cultural space displays and introduce tourism and agricultural products.

The announcement ceremony is expected to take place on May 18 at May 8 Square in Moc Chau district’s Administrative Center. Within the framework of the ceremony, from May 17-19, there will be many tourism promotion activities; displays of tourism products and One Commune One Product (OCOP) items; a fruit picking festival; paragliding; tours of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area; and an off-road bike race. This will be an important occasion to promote and affirm the position and brand of the Moc Chau National Tourist Area.
