The “determined to win” emulation congress of the armed forces for the 2019-2024 period in Phu Yen district.

In the 2019-2024 period, the ‘determined to win” emulation movement in the armed forces of Phu Yen district has been deployed widely and synchronously in all fields associated with the patriotic emulation movements in localities. Role models have appeared in all areas, creating a spillover effect and motivating units and individuals to join efforts to make the district's armed forces more and more regular, elite, and modern.

In the past five years, Phu Yen district has directed and organised 40 drills for district- and commune-level defense areas; forest fire response, search and rescue and flood and storm response drills. The drills were all rated as good and excellent. It has also provided training for militia, self-defense and standby forces, with all participants meeting requirements.

Leaders of the provincial Military Command and Phu Yen district Party Committee present flowers in congratulation of the congress.

Two units in the district have been awarded the title of “determined to win” unit by the High Command of Military Region 2; the emulation flags by the provincial People's Committee in 2019; and many certificates of merit and awards from the provincial Party Committee and People's Committee for achievements in emulation movements to build comprehensively strong units.

During the 2024-2029 period, Phu Yen district will continue to thoroughly grasp, study, and seriously implement directives and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; improve leadership capacity and combat strength of Party committees and commanders at all levels; and maintain solidarity and unity.

Emulation movements will focus on improving qualifications and political mettle; proactively defeating the "peaceful evolution" and "depoliticization of the armed forces" plots of hostile forces; and improving combat readiness and strength of the armed forces.

The Chairman of Phu Yen district People's Committee awards the certificates of merit to outstanding collectives.
