In the field of natural resources and environment, there are eight administrative procedures at the provincial level, four at the district level, and one at the commune level. Since the beginning of this year, the Environmental Management Division under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has received 56 environmental impact assessment reports and applications for environmental permits, of which 17 reports were submitted to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for approval, five continue to be re-evaluated, one was rejected due to ineligibility, and eight were withdrawn by developers.

Meanwhile, 12 environmental permits were submitted to the provincial People’s Committee for issuance, three were withdrawn, one was rejected, and eight are being appraised.

In addition, the Environmental Management Division has given advice on the appraisal of four environmental impact assessment reports and three environmental permits for projects under the appraisal and approval authority of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
