Programme helps consolidate solidarity between border guards and local residents

The Nam Lanh Border Guard Station in Sop Cop district has coordinated with the People’s Committee of Muong Va and donors from Hanoi to organise a programme aimed at consolidating solidarity between border guards and local residents at the Hin Cap facility of the Semi-boarding Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities in the commune on the occasion of the 2024 New Year.

Doctors from Dong Do Hospital, TikToker Le Anh Nuoi and other donors provided free health checkups and advice, and medicines for local residents, and presented gifts to 70 households in the commune’s Cap Ven, Huoi Nieng and Huoi Ca hamlets, each including blankets, winter clothes, necessities, rice and noodles. As many as 172 students of Cap Ven and Na Lua school facilities also received gifts and food under the programme, whose funding surpassed 300 million VND (12,369 USD).

The programme also featured art exchanges and zero-dong booths, and offered free haircuts to local students and residents.

Local residents receive free medicines.

The annual programme demonstrates Vietnamese people’s tradition of “the intact leaves protect the tattered ones”, and aims to tighten the solidarity between border guards and local residents.
