More than 200 households from the commune’s Nam Nieu and Phieng Nghe hamlets participated in the event.
The units presented gifts to 25 policy beneficiary families, 10 disadvantaged students, and seven families with soldiers currently serving in the military. They also gave gifts to the two hamlets. In addition, cultural, art, and sports activities were organized, such as a banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) wrapping contest, tug-of-war and stick pushing competitions. Traditional folk games like blindfolded drumming, blindfolded duck catching, and "tung con" (cloth ball throwing) were also held, creating a cheerful, warm atmosphere and strengthening the bonds between the military and the people.
At the end of the programme, the organisers awarded three first, five second, two third, and two consolation prizes to the teams that excelled in the banh chưng wrapping contest, and tug-of-war, and stick pushing competitions. The programme contributed to caring for and supporting policy beneficiary families and those affected by natural disasters, while also reinforcing trust among residents in Chieng Den commune.
